The rainbow river Columbia located in serrania de la macarena in the province of meta it’s called caño cristales it is changes colours became of the macarenia calvigera plant the colour depend on lights and water conditions the plants has been seen in green , red, yellow , and even blue the river has beautiful circular rock pools
During the early 2000s the river was in guerrilla territory
It was deemd too dangerous for tourist the best time to go is when the weather is bright and sunny
