Nature Tuesday – Pink and orange bud identification

At the beginning of April I noticed the buds of a plant I had not noticed before. You have seen them in my post Pink and orange bud. I hoped somebody would know what plants they belong to. Since then I have continued to notice their  evolution in the hope that I will be able to discover the “mystery.”A new stage of their evolution you have seen here:  Pink and orange bud – news

Today I have others news that I want to share with you. Those buds have blossomed!  They look  like  Riverbank grape flowers to me.

It appears in many   ecosystems, but as its name suggests it is particularly fond of riverbanks, where it often spreads across the ground with poison ivy.  Despite its name, however, riverbank grape is also frequently encountered at the edges of woods.
