They are small, lively and very noisy. They resemble their sisters, the house sparrows in size but have a different color. They have a colored chestnut crown and nape, and a black patch on each pure white cheek. In some areas they are considered pests but I love them. I am talking about Eurasian tree sparrow.
It is a monogamous species. I read a funny fact about the males of this species. They are very jealous and if they suspect that their partner is cheating on him, he will behave very very ugly with its baby!
I have taken these picture as usually in Chindia Park.

I did not know this, we don’t have this type of Sparrow and I can see the difference immediately. Thanks for sharing..
That is a very lovely bird. I don’t know if there are any kinds of sparrows where I live now I do know we had them in the garden in Latvia
Lovely picture, we don;t have house sparrows here anymore 🙁
It is sad. They play an important role in the ecosystem.
I actually didn’t know that. Sparrows are adorable!
They are! Their chirping is relaxing!
Very nice photos of these sparrows. We have house sparrows.
We have both species. Some live in the city around the people, the others live in more open spaces.
Such a beautiful view, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, too for your support!
