This is a picture I took last year. After I took the picture, I picked the seeds with the intention of germinating them. To germinate they need stratification (2-3 months in the fridge or outside). At least that’s what the theory says. These seeds needed a stratification period of 7 months !!! I had the surprise a few days ago. Of the 10 seeds, two germinated !! I put them in a pot and now I’m waiting for them to grow.😀 Will these seeds become trees?🤔

I have never tried to get magnolias from seeds, The best thing to do is just try it,
I haven’t tried this yet because I’m hearing this for the first time. I hope you get the trees.
I have a huge magnolia tree in my yard and never deal with the seed pods.
