Macro Monday – Black bread mold

Note:  As definition, macrophotography  is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size.

Three days ago I posted a photo and I challenged you to guess what that might be. Well, I cannot say that photography has aroused much interest. There were few answers but none correct. That was the picture of the Black bread mold.

I’m convinced all of you met at least once in your life with the mold. It is found all around us. Maybe even while reading this sentence you have inspired some mold spores! Some molds save lives, others kill. Some give more flavor to certain cheeses and wines, others alter foods by making them toxic. In the photo is the mold that I managed to “grow” for photographic purposes on a piece of pumpkin which I put in a plastic bag and kept warm in the kitchen. After a week I got this mold that looks great in photography!
