Yesterday evening, when I opened the balcony door to let in fresh air to our bedroom, my eyes caught the lights behind the windows, yellow squares, and I felt the warmth, joy, and luxury of giving love.
When I was a kid, I loved curtainless windows, staring at cats on windowsills, moms dancing in the kitchens, lives of untold beauty, because I couldn’t even imagine that yellow squares could be hiding something ugly – worries, anger, or other darkness in people’s hearts.
The strangest thing is that even now when I realize that life is painted in different colors, window light is the best happiness therapy for me. You do not even realize how grateful I am for the invention of the light bulb.
