Kim's Color Crazy Challenge – Sepia (Day 2)

I chose a flower in pink that I made in this option thanks to Google’s Nik Collection.

What do we need to know about this color? Here’s what I found at https://en.wikipedia.org/

Sepia is the name of a brown colored liquid that the squid’s soft skin releases to protect itself from its enemies. The word is also widely used in the sense of the pigment obtained from this liquid, as well as the corresponding color, a shade of brown.

Sepia has been widely used as ink in the past. In 1780, Professor Jacob Seidelman of Dresden thickened the pigment with gum arabic to produce watercolor paint in this color.

Sepia is also used in toned photography, as its shades effectively resemble the colors that black and white photographs acquire over time. For many brands of digital cameras, the sepia toning option is the default color setting.
