When I was little in Chicago, Indianapolis was a smaller town in Indiana.
Growing up in Bloomington, Indianapolis was the big city!

We over the years went to Indianapolis Colts (American Football), and Indianapolis Pacers (basketball NBA) games. But our favorite thing was going to the AAA US baseball games!

we loved going there. The fans on the other side of the outfield wall are sitting on a grassy field.
My first memory of Indianapolis Indiana is actually of Greenwood. We used to go shopping for clothes and shoes in Greenwood. There was a shoe store called Bargain Bob’s. That was a big deal to wander up to Greenwood to buy new shoes.

i don’t know why that memory has stuck with me but it has.
Sometimes we remember very unusual events from the ancient past. It happens to me too.

Yes, I know. And I have to say you have a very good memory. My memory fades a little from time to time.
i lost my father’s stories (for his pictures) when he died. I will make sure my kids have my stories when my time comes.
