This practice has been continuing to the point that the land will soon have sunk beneath the sea.

Indonesia is trying to get ahead of this by moving the capitol more inland
That’s not good to hear, and we can only hope that doesn’t happen.
a rate of 0 inches per year would leave the land exactly where it was.
The declination of the aquifer is a massive global problem. It is sad that we as humans don’t take care of the planet we have.
