Sharing a photo of an Iris from my garden last year with Kim’s Color Crazy Challenge. This week’s color is Indigo. Some seem to be unsure what this color is and what photo to post. I researched indigo and found these fun facts you might be interested in to read about…
Indigo color is a mix of blue and violet, we see it in the deep blue of the night sky and in foods like blueberries and concord grapes.
This color rules the mind, our reasoning ability and the intellect. It represents knowledge, dignity and intuition.

Thank you very much!
Cool information and such a gorgeous flower! I really need to plant some bulbs next fall.
Thanks Kim, this is a beauty.
You are a master gardener Carol. That is truly an amazing bloom!
You are too kind, it has taken years of time and patience to be able to grow many of these plants and flowers. Thanks.
I can’t even grow grass in the back yard.
That is a whole different subject. Too many weeds to deal with.
In our case too much mud. I ended up having to put a dog mud carpet outside the dog door and another one right inside the dog door. That way most of the mud sits on the mud rug!
Weeds are the only thing I can grow!
Mud is not good especially with dogs.
I’m also confused about the indigo color … for me it’s darker than darker than dark purple
Then go with what you think, I don’t think you are wrong.
I look at indigo as the darker side of lavender.
I guess none of us are wrong, we all seem to be in the same neighborhood.
You are correct on this matter.
I am also one of those who does not know exactly what color is indigo. Thank you for the explanation. ?
You are very welcome.
The colour is not that easy to find for me …
and I’m more of a purple (lighter shade) person … :p
No clothes or socks or phone cover or anything?
I can’t quite figure it out. Is indigo in the rainbow?
Yes it is, between violet and blue.
I may have one to share with this week’s color lol, but not sure.
I hope so, looking forward to it.
