Inter-holidays

There are things I dislike. For example, sweets. I don’t like stupidity. Yet I do not like the greediness and all its manifestations, especially the moral greediness.

And I probably mostly I don’t like inter-holidays. The feeling that one celebration is over and another has not started, and you are hanging between them, and Mr. time is somehow slow and uninteresting going on. I don’t like those few days between the Christmas light and the start of the New Year. Like a naive and impatient child, I am eagerly waiting when finally one holiday will end and the other one will start.

Even though I know how stupid and wrong it is to rush time. Especially when I know: the end and the beginning are just numbers on the calendar. And our life, just because the New Year starts, will neither get worse nor better. The essence of life is not in runaway days, but in us and in our thoughts and eyes as we look at the world.

You can be sure that each new year will add an additional wrinkle to our faces but I hope the little more of wisdom too.
