The icon I refer here is the icon that sits on our computer, our phone or web pages. It is usually a small graphic. It may represent a program in our computer, an app in our phone, or a link on a web page.
I was a web developer, but I am not good at graphic design at all, and I couldn’t design pretty icons. It’s usually someone else designed the icons, or I searched online and looked for free icons for commercial use. I always go to IconFinder for free icons, as the icons there are pretty and suitable for use even they are free.

I recognize some icons.
Interesting article, but I’m a little confused about how you equate the icon with a web logo or an application.
interesting – so let me ask you as a former web developer when do you push a “web site” into the realm of application?
On a mobile device, the 3 you’ve shared (icons) would all be applications.
but on a PC they are still most likely web sites.
what do you think?
Finally good to see our posts published. yeah those icons are easy .
I have said no but actually I know which programmes those icons belong to.
Excited to see your posts being published.
