I have just realised it turned to such big area after waking up this morning.
This is the bruised area on my arm after blood donation done last Sunday.
The nurse pushed the needle accidentally when it still in my vein, thus caused it turned into such big bruised area.
It is not much pain, but how to treat it?
Perhaps I just let it be…:P

No

I have never donated blood before. I was either not heavy enough or didn’t have enough iron/calcium at that time when I wanted to donate blood. I should be able to donate blood now as my weight is more than enough after giving birth to my third child. 😀
My husband had that after donating blood sometimes. He just left it and it’d be fine soon.
You are too slim for blood donating, I am fat enough.:P
How’s your weight now? it need to be more than 45kg.
I am not slim now anymore after giving birth to my third child, I just don’t get back to my previous weight and size this time. Doctor even told me it’s normal after having three children, unless I really work hard and I am still too lazy to work out consistently. 😀
My weight is usually around 48kg now, though I wish I can keep it at around 45kg, so I am not too heavy but I can still donate blood. 🙂
Is your bruised area okay now?
leeches would clear that right up, but if that is too freaky then wait a few days and it will go away
Haha, sure? I heard so for those called “dirty blood” …haha!
seriously, you could treat it or wear long sleeves for a few days
Arnica is an herb that has long been recommended for bruises.
Thanks for the advise, I have arnica oil at home!
No Never happen this to me , I have donated blood twice when I was in Malaysia
It always happen to me but it is much bigger area this time, think it could be I have smaller vein.
For that kind of bruise it is the hot compress that will heal the bruise.
Noted with thanks, will give a try. Did you try cold compress? or ice bag?
I put Aloe leaf gel. This method is very effective.
Noted with thanks, I have aloe vera gel, are they the same?
It’s good to know aloe leaf gel works. I have aloe vera plant in my garden, so next time I can make good use of it. Thanks for sharing!
