HER SMELL Movie Review

The dramatic film “Her Smell” of American-Greek production, which was released in very limited distribution, being an independent project, is the third joint work of actress Elizabeth Moss and Alex Ross Perry in the status of the chief director.

The action develops inside the concert halls, where a “girl band” is preparing to perform, playing rock music, and the front-person and mastermind – Becky (in fact, Elizabeth Moss herself). Fame and success changed Becky: she behaves disgustingly with other people, does not shy away from carrying a stream of angry abuse not only towards her competitors but also towards other members of the group.

Even the producer became tired of her constantly drunken state, who, although made good money on the group, Becky’s behavior brought him to the edge. Becky behaves well only with her little daughter, but she’s drunk all the time, so it’s difficult to determine the level of her sincerity. And this state of affairs sooner or later should lead to the collapse of everything that Becky did not know how to appreciate.

Of course, the plot is quite relevant, but who has not heard that creative people are prone to various asocial behavior as if they were not from this world.

Her Smell is added to the list of 50 best movies of 2019.
