Today is Father’s Day in the US. Mixed emotions for many of us. Lost my Dad two years ago.
But he left behind many memories. I will hold onto those to make it through the rest of my journey.
Have to share this song called Butterfly Kisses. If you have not heard it, I think you will enjoy it.
If you have heard it, I think you will enjoy it again. 🙂
The photo below was a gift I gave my Dad many years ago. It is now on display in my home.
Cover photo is a last photo I took in my Dad’s yard when he passed. A camellia with raindrops.

i played the song Butterfly kisses for my daughter when she was younger. I love that song. We played it at the wedding!
I am sorry for the loss of your father. I know, personally, how hard father’s day can be after losing your father.
What a special song and we all have our own memories. It is so hard year after year. But that is life.
it is, it doesn’t get worse if that helps, but it does continue to create a moment of wistful.
I know, I am just thankful for all of the memories. I have often said I could not survive without them.
you have and they are a wonderful gift – a truly great thing to enjoy!
one of the things that helped me over the years was keeping things my father gave me with me on father’s day.
I remember that song – it was out over 20 years ago
Yes it is an oldie but a good one.
I am somewhat distracted today. My sister fell apart when she realized that this was her first Father’s Day without and father. It brought her to tears that her children haven’t had a father for a long time. It’s bitter sweet.
It is tough. Three years without mine, I do understand. So sorry.
We do not celebrate Father’s Day in our country. It is a wonderful gift.
Thanks, it has always been at least a US holiday.
