Even Though He Put 30 Sugar Cubes In His Cup, He Also Alternated between 50 Cups.

Søren Kierkegaard has his coffee with an equivalent of 30 sugar cubes, give or take. He was a Danish philosopher, fanatical about his coffee regime. First, he piled a mountain of sugar into his cup, then he poured black coffee over it to dissolve.

Unlike most of us, he had an impressive assortment of 50 coffee cups and whenever he wanted to have a cup of coffee, he would ask his secretary to select one and give him a valid philosophical reason for her choice. When asked what he liked most in life, he said, “there are several things, but, at any rate, I prize coffee.” The above content is from his personal writings.
