Yes, I bought a bike as it’s very much in thing in Australia. There is not a single garage that does not have 2-3 bikes in it. In fact all Australian cities have lovely bike-paths where you can bike without any disturbance. So, I decided to buy a mountain bike.
And I was amazed to find that the Axis 1 mountain bikes cost so much but I wanted to have one so got it. By the way, I broke it’s chain the very first day itself because I was not familiar with the right gears and paid another $50 for replacing it with a new one. I wish I was in India where it would cost me 50 cents to get the chain fixed.
My question is, do you still enjoy riding a bike? I have started loving my new hobby and going for long rides in my spare time. I think it’s more than 40 years since I biked during my teens.

All the fours of us used to go biking a few years ago. But when my older son went to the university we slowly lost the joy of biking.
Yes it is all about company! I went with my wife although she doesn’t like biking much. She says it’s for kids and younger people 🙂
I know how to bike and used to bike a lot especially in my teenage years.
It’s been years since I ride one.
Same here, but give it a try and see the difference, nothing has much changed since we were teenagers 🙂
Will consider to add on my 2020 resolutions.
my wife and I learned to ride a tandem bike, and we go as often as we can. Not, in the dead of winter but the rest of the year!
I think it’s lot of fun if you have a good company!
that is the joy of a tandem bike – you always have company!!!
I know how to ride a bike but have not ridden one in years
Yeah, but if you do it now your bike will take you to places where your car won’t know those places even existed!
I have issues with one of my knees and sciatica that gets painful so no more biking for me
Oh,I am really so sorry to know this. I hope you are taking proper care which should improve your problems although it’s not that easy with sciatica.
I love cycling but mostly go for it ar warm seasons, not in teh winter.
I would prefer to use my bike more in winter season. The summer is killing here, the temperature was in high 30s yesterday and sun was too harsh.
I use my treadmill mostly these days. Enjoy the bike!
Actually we are using bikes for going to places where we cannot go by car or the parking charges are more. The parking charges are really a big burden on or pockets in Australia. My wife has got one from her local friend who is not using her bike for time being. Enjoy your exercise.
