Some people don’t like their first name. They wish to change it. Maybe because it’s too long or people don’t know how to pronounce it correctly. As for me, I like my first name. It is Nnaemeka. I love it. It means “Father has done well.” Sometimes I wonder why my parents gave me that name. One day, I’ll ask them for the reason behind the name.
I’d like to know what you think. Do you wish to change your first name?

Thanks for all your beautiful compliments. I wish the world was as beautiful as you describe it.
My name is Zaklina which is Serbian transcription of Jacquelline. Till recently, I wasn’t so happy with it, because I haven’t known its meaning. Unless my name, my nickname stuck to me from the day I was born and still is a great part of my identity. I strongly believe that “nomen est omen” (the name is the sign), so being not familiar with the meaning of my first name, I embraced my nickname as my “omen”. 🙂
What by the way is your nickname? It must be interesting.
Maca. That is a pet name for a cat. 🙂
Interesting. Now I know a little more about you. Thanks
I like my name, and your poll.
That is great. I am happy you enjoyed it.
My name is unique enough that not many people share the name. In a crowd, someone can yell my name and I’ll probably be the only one who answers. lol The name means “King” or “Emperor”, but I don’t relate to that meaning. That is very unlike the Bible where all the names had a definite meaning.
That’s interesting. Do you like having a unique name that few people share?
I like my name, I have always had it. 🙂
So always keep it. Thanks for playing.
I love my name………
So do I. In Africa names are supposed to have a story behind them.
