as I slide between the passages of stone
and wriggling make it to the
lost chamber of RA.
the last place where we knew the sun had been
the sun
lost to the world
hid.
why hide you think
as wriggling
why run away sun?
as we come to the guardian.
Do YOU fear me?
the guardian utters
and it clutches its side and falls
on its back.
Do you FEAR me?
no, we fear the shadows
and the drops of water
we do not fear what
we cannot see.
in the darkness
in the room
where once the sun had roamed.

When we have a favorite to deal with during a blizzard or storm, it is easier and faster to pass.
that is very true – truly well put thank yoU!!!
The fear of the unknown in the darkness can bother all of us in life.
it can be a tough situation, thanks to you Carol, you are a beacon on Virily!!!!
I don’t know, maybe you were a little scared of the commotion or you were indoors for too long.
i love that – it makes me laugh perhaps I had been indoors too long!!!!
Perhaps some creature hiding in the dark made you feel afraid.
sadly i knew the creature I was scared of in this poem. But not a creature of darkness.
Perhaps the storm was saying to you “Do you fear me?” as you were hidden in home frightened
that would be my dog, I love storms
