Here is another contribution of mine for the challenge of crazy color. Pumpkin carving, which is one of the most famous on Halloween activities today and is often seen here, became popular only in the 16th century in the United States. The carved pumpkins haunt evil ghosts. This holiday goes back a long time to the Celts, who, two thousand years ago, inhabited the lands we now call the United Kingdom, Ireland and the northern parts of France. In order to protect themselves from the ghosts, they left wine and food in front of the houses in the hope that souls would not enter their homes.

Enjoy very much Halloween celebrations & pumpkins!!! Great post about one of my favorite holidays!!!
Thank you so much. You are one of the few who love Halloween ?
I don’t celebrate Halloween. I really am not a fan of these traditions. Lovely picture there Vidocka.
Thank you very much. I don’t like these traditions either, so I don’t celebrate.
Yes, we read about it at my university! But we do not celebrate Halloween, although I respect those who do 🙂
I personally don’t celebrate Halloween either.
Halloween is not currently a New Zealand tradition but came out from America in the 1980s. It was not in my time so it somehow is irrelevant. However on Halloween I try to remember to keep sweets for children who come for Trick or Treat.
Looks like we have the same opinion on Halloween. She came to our country only a couple of years ago
although I no longer care about candy or costumes, it is a good excuse to watch scary movies…
I am reluctant to watch scary movies
I watch them every chance I get
Great picture for the challenge, dear Vidocka …. I also celebrate Halloween and cut a pumpkin and light a candle in it
Thank you so much for your kind comment
With great pleasure, dear Vidocka
You are welcome, Lado
Thanks for your kindness, dear Vidocka
We celebrate Halloween in the United States; but I had no idea about the background. Thanks for posting.
I’m glad you learned something new.
Spain is celebrated. Great idea for this challenge.
Thank you, Elenka. I also changed the idea for this challenge a little ?
I don;t know nothing about Halloween, can some tell me in detail ?
I have witnessed this while I was holidaying in the US
This is increasingly popular in our country
