This is my first entry for a challenge, still don’t know if I am doing this correctly but maybe I will keep doing these challenges with all the other great members of Virily.
Envy is a deep and often hostile resentment toward a person who has something we desire. It is a yearning for what one has and at the same time a sense of inability to achieve it.
Envy leads us to compare ourselves with others, the lives, and goods of others. To overcome jealousy we need to strengthen our self-esteem and sense of security. We need to understand that our true value comes from who we are, not from what we have. We also need to increase our empathy towards others by shifting our focus from ourselves outward. We need to learn to admire others and appreciate their success by celebrating with them and sincerely praising them.
I don’t consider myself an envious person but I have already suffered from others envy and it is not a good feeling.
