I recently rediscovered some photos from when I lived in Robertson a town near Capetown. I will post them and also some of the sights in and around Robertson and the Cape provence as a whole. These Clivias were splendid growers in the dry summer climate of the Cape.

Do you know Clivias?

Yes

No

No never interacted with this one ……….
I have had this for a couple of years, then it rotted in the non stop rains we had for weeks, I love the abundance of flowers on the plant.
That’s sad, it’s such a beautiful plant but it doesn’t like too much water. I think where we are living now, Johannesburg, 1000 kilometers from Capetown, Clivia’s should do well here.
No. Never seen those but we do have something similar or shall I say almost similar

I have them in 3 colours
This is the first time I’ve seen that flower.
Oh, it’s gorgeous Alex and does so well in Capetown. We now live 1000 kilos from there.
As glorious as the sunshine. Reminds me of lantana in my garden.
A wonderful comparison, sunshine. It was made by the same multitalented artist friend of mine. Lol.
