2. Perfect picture for Black and White. Sorry to hear you don’t get butterflies, and also that in getting wasps I suspect you have to clean them out.

   • Well, the wasps will visit and it makes for good decoration. Yep it has to be cleaned out but they don’t stay long.

     • What kind of wasps are they the paper wasps that build those huge nests or the mud wasps that build the smaller ones?

       • Red wasps, in the family of paper wasps.

         • I remember those. Clearing the side area of our house in Indiana I found, well a lot of them.

           My arm was red I got stung 10 or so times.

           I was glad the kids were inside.

3. I’ve never seen butterfly house… but it looks really intriguing…
   how do butterfly live inside?

   • There are slots one each side of the house for air.

     • I see, so the butterflies would just fly inside and rest? or they’d stay for long?

       • Great question. Slots in the butterfly houses keep birds out while giving butterflies protection from the wind and weather. By placing the butterfly house in the garden and when it gets cool at night the butterflies seek shelter and may use your house. By having a nectar source close by (flowers and/or our butterfly feeder) butterflies are more likely to visit your butterfly house. Each butterfly house has a door for cleaning and for placing long twigs inside to give butterflies a nice resting spot.

         • Hmm… can I assume its like the resting/pit stops when driving long distance, that the butterflies rest/seek shelter temporary?

4. I’ve never seen a house of butterflies. It’s wonderful and great decoration.

   • Yes the butterflies don’t seem interested but it is blue and is nice on the deck.

5. I never thought we can make a house for the butterfly. It’s so lovely but when I first saw it, I thought it was a mailbox.

   • I had never hard of one wither when I got this one, but the butterflies were not interested.

8. I have only seen a butterfly house in several articles online but have never seen anything like that in my country. Have ever any butterflies lived there?

   • No, unfortunately the butterflies never visited.

     • So, as you have said, it’s just a decoration.

10. That’s lovely, Carol. You never know, butterflies may use this home one day. I was looking through a catalogue the other day and saw a little home you can get for bees. I think that’s a really good idea.
