Busy Bee ~ JFF Flora and Fauna

Kim’s August challenge is exciting to participate in, as always. This month she has chosen Flora and Fauna for the subject. I sometimes post both in the same photo. Hopefully the bee will pass the test for fauna.

I was out watering the birds yesterday and noticed this bee on my butterfly bush. I had my cell phone in my pocket and snapped a few shots of him. This one came out kind of sort of decent I thought. You can see he was enjoying the nectar in the blooms. I stopped snapping until he started flying towards me instead of the bloom. You have to be careful when photographing nature. Especially when bees are involved. Moving in slow motion helps tremendously. Enjoy your day! Nature has a lot to offer everyone.

  1. My brother is a photographer and when I was knee-high to a grasshopper he let me come into the darkroom and learn how to develop photos, long before polaroid had been invented. When we went to the zoo he let me take some pictures with his camera and then develop one of mine all by myself. He probably doesn’t even remember that, but I sure do.

    Great bumblebee.
