Here some fun and interesting facts about bobsledding. I am lucky enough to live with 20 miles of a track and is great fun to to try it, once!
Did you know that the name “bobsledding” came from when early racers tried bobbing their heads back and forth in order to propel and assist the sled in moving forward? The actual sled is quite pricey it costs over $50,000. Did you know that the first bobsledding event in which women could compete in race was the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics? I was there and I saw it.

What amazes me is that bobsledding does not get much coverage on American television except the Winter Olympics.
