I almost forgot about posting my Black and White Friday photo. I am sharing a photo of an outhouse. While traveling last year I saw this at a fuel stop along the way to my Dad’s. The design caught my attention. This would be a conversation starter if I had one in my backyard perhaps.
Enjoy this last day of November and have a great weekend.

Great shot … we have some more such houses
Thank you for visiting and commenting.
Great B&W! In my native village all the houses were built with outhouses. There are rural areas in Romania where the outhouses are still found although they also have indoor facilities!
Thank you. I remember my grandparents talking about using them. That is a cool story about Romania.
It’s a great shot, Carol, and the monochrome really brings out the grain of the wood. All the houses built here before WW2 were built with outhouses, and had indoor facilities added later.
Thanks Norman. I though it was very cool. I guess most know about these houses.
I’d say it depends on one’s age. If you’re old enough to have heard of them from your parents, you’ll know.
You are right, and I grew up in the country. We had one at church. 🙂
I think you should have one in your garden and use it for gardening stuff. 😉 What a great shed it would be.
What a great idea Kim. Noted. 🙂
I’ve seen people re purpose them, move them off the hole, and turn them into sheds. You could get old barn wood and start from there.
I would love to do that Kim.
A very beautiful image
Thanks for the comment.
I love that photo, I would use that door as decor.
Thanks Andria, using it in the garden would be great.
A very nice image of an outhouse.
Thank you for commenting.
I think my late grandmother had an outhouse in the mountains in the Cocle Province where it is used to take showers behind closed doors of course.
What a great memory, the good ole days.
Those days will live in my memory for life.
