Gardening is nothing but expectations. And the pineapple is a fine example. It takes about a couple of months for the pineapple to show up.
There will first be redness in the centre of the plant and gently the pineapple shows up as though someone is pushing it up.
We have had many pineapple plants and the pleasant aroma that it gives out is an indication that it is time for the pineapple to be harvested.
Every pineapple as you can see has a head that can be replanted

Why is it that you cannot grow pineapples?
I think that we do not have the proper climate
Not crazy about pineapple unless it is coated with cream cheese.
That combination is super. I have had that placed on cream crackers.
And incidentally I have published a video on my activities at Solitaire. You may have missed it.
Our NZ climate is not as hot and it takes 2 years for a pineapple to grow but Australia has wonderful pineapples.
It takes about a year for the final harvest.

One of my favorite fruits is also as bread or cake jam.
Of the jams I like pineapple jam the best.
