I snapped this photo of three Northern Cardinals in my backyard Tulip Poplar tree. Two males and one female. The male is always the bright red. I was inside taking the photo. If I open the door they fly away and it was too cold to stand out on the deck with the tripod. I was several feet away so the quality is not very good. But maybe you can see what I see. Three cardinals.

Great snap, It is really awesome
Thank you very much!
I remember a joke about Cardinals that goes that the St. Louis Cardinals are not the Cardinals of the Catholic church playing baseball. I love seeing birds in the backyard as they rest on the wires coming from the power sources of lights in the backyard.
Yeah , that’s lovely
I have seen one red colored bird my brother in law calls “David Bowie” due to the color of the coat of the bird.
Sounds like a fitting name. They are stunning for sure.
My brother in law is a huge fan of David Bowie.
yes, i always watch birds… every where i can see them.
that’s mean you badly involve in birds
I am having Marley flashbacks now
That is a blast from the past.
his voice was silenced far too early
The picture is wonderful. It’s nice to see all three birds
Thanks, it was a delight for sure.
They are so beautiful and hey… it seems the weather is sunny there… The picture looks so bright!
Thanks, overcast skies here, rain coming here tonight.
Haaahhh… Apparently, we have the same sky…
I always remember watching birds our my mom’s kitchen window, and yes the male birds are always so much prettier then the females.
Great memories, the males are always brighter.
Yes they are and it’s not fair lol..?
I watch a lot of birds and I also feed them … only the bodies of cardinals are really special
Good for you, yes they are special.
There is no Cardinal in our country dear Carol
We used to occasionally have cardinals in our backyard here in Florida. Now however, we almost never see them. They are cheeky fellows and if you whistle to them they will definitely answer. I miss them. We do have bluebirds though.
I love my bluebirds in the spring and summer. I love seeing them, they remind me of my Dad. Never tried whistling to them.
