As it turned out I started the day by making cookies and some punch and took that outside to the picnic table about mid morning. As I was doing some of the chores neighbors stopped by and grabbed and cookie and did a little racking or bagging and helped. That was so very kind of them.
We waited until late in the afternoon when it was rather warm to wash the exterior of the house. It turned into a glorious water fight for the geriatric group. We had a lovely time.
I got the volunteer scheduling done. I of course went to work.
So it was not 100% and still it was very nice and fun.

I see my neighbors fairly often and have small talk.
we share a fence with our neighbor, when she goes out to trim her side, we trim our side. It becomes the social event of the year!
