I love all types of seafood. And I love grits. So one of my favorite dishes is Shrimp and Grits.
An easy peasy dish. Cook your grits like you normally do. Then add the shrimp. Tah-dah you are done!
Love the combination of shrimp and grits. If you have never tried this dish, you should.
If fresh shrimp is not available try frozen. A substitute but the next best thing to freshness. Enjoy!

This is a favorite for sure and very easy.
Really looks yummy. I haven’t had a proper seafood meal in a while.
My taste buds are watering. Eish. Thanks a lot!
This was great. I never get fresh seafood any more.
cooking with Carol!!!! i love grits and just about anything. i have had shrimp and grits in two different ways. I had it in NO, with hot sauce and I had it in Birmingham Al without.
which way do you make it?
Without always. I cannot tolerate the heat. And grits are a favorite any day!
i am all about the heat! but grits are a favorite of mine. I love first with a fried egg on top!
Absolutely. Grits and eggs were a staple growing up! Biscuits on the side. That is good eating!
it is and a staple in our house!
Looks delicious, forgive my ignorance but what are grits?
A favorite breakfast dish in the south mostly. Great with butter, cheese, or shrimp. Made from cornmeal.

Sounds delicious…Thanks Carol.
I really like all seafood, dear friend…..I have not tried this combination yet
I do as well, wish I had fresh seafood. Good to see you.
I love shrimp, but (and you’re going to laugh at me) I don’t know what are grits!
No laughs here, it is mostly a southern dish. Usually for breakfast with lots of butter and maybe cheese. Made from ground cornmeal.

That’s a great link, Carol! Really makes me want to try it. We can sometimes get coarse cornmeal here, which I could try substituting, I guess, but it’s not going to be the same.
I have eaten grits all of my life Norman and they are great. You can add so much to them, butter, cheese, tomato gravy, eggs, whatever you like. I have never made them homemade, always buy in the box, then add the extras.
It looks delicious. I love shrimp but I have never had grits.
They are wonderful my friend. Just plain with butter.
It looks very tasty. I love seafood so I have to try this dish.
Very good hope you can try one day.
I’m not a fan of seafood but … I should try!🙂
Grits are good without shrimp, I eat them with butter and cheese often.
