It may look embarrassing now but at the time that we indulged in those things they did look trendy and normal. I used to wear two plaits and ribbons to match my clothes (lol)
This reminds me of my teenage years when I was wearing bell bottom pants that looked lousy.
I think most of us here on Virily can kinda relate to those bell-bottom times, I know I was wearing them too. Luckily I never took a dare to get my hair permed, I chickened out.
So many embarrassing things, weird hairdos, strange fashions, odd boyfriends … but I thought I was so cool. I look back now and wonder what the hell I was thinking but I’m still here, still learning and much wiser.
That’s the stuff I was looking for, Linda! When we really dig into the forgotten recesses of our minds, we actually go there, momentarily. Our minds and bodies, through cell memory, allows us to re-kindle useful hormones that actually extend our Telomeres, like a brief visit to the fountain of youth.
My parents were very strict and kept me on a short leash; so I can’t think of anything foolish that I did…at least not until much later!
Mmm!? “Until much later”. Sounds intriguing…
Islands in the Stream is a cool song. I was always shy, so I cannot think of anything right now.
Hello Carol, I like the song too. Thanks for commenting.
