Ah Mexico, we have had the pleasure of going several times. This particular set of pictures came from our trip to Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. We had a lot of Marriot points to use and figured why not use them for the beach and the sun! The Marriott resort was a great place for us to explore from.
Traveling with smaller children internationally requires a little more planning than just traveling does. The first thing you have to do is, of course, get the kids their Juvenile passports (they require a parental passport also be presented). The other thing you have to worry about is the concept of the stick with parents.
Traveling overseas normally means that cellular phones aren’t carried with you, or in our case, we only had one with us. You have to operate differently as you explore places. When we are all with cell phones, it is an easy call or text to reconnect. Without Cell phones, you have to have places to meet in case of confusion.
We arrived at the airport in Puerto Vallarta and took a car to the hotel. We didn’t rent a car (one of my international travel rules from a long time ago). The hotel was located right on the beach so our first experience was the rush to the room, unpack, change and head to the pool/beach area. The pool had a bar right in it, so the kids learned quickly they could swim up and order drinks they linked (non-alcoholic of course). The beach was really beautiful and very clean.
