I really only got to see the old Roman ruins and the newer Ottoman Empire buildings. I could spend a week there and still have things I missed!

I fully believe you, my friend … I looked at him with a local guide who alerted us at every turn … even at the market

It is funny, there were times I was immersed in crowds of people that spoke another language and I felt ok.
I did arrive in Istanbul on the day of a bombing in the city. That may have contributed to my fear.

I went a long excursion there a long time ago. I visited Grand Bazaar, this is the covered market in Istanbul. Bosphorus, which is the Strait that connects the Marmara and Black Seas and divides the European part of Turkey from the Asian. And, of course, the pride of all Bulgarians – the Church of St. Stephen, known as the Iron Church, is an Orthodox Bulgarian church in Istanbul, Turkey, made of ready-made iron elements. St. Stephen is the only Orthodox Iron Church in Turkey.
