During my trip around Bosnia and Herzegovina, I also visited the sanctuary Queen of Peace.
The sanctuary is located in Hrasno-Neum. Ever since the founding in 1762, Hrasno under the Blessed Virgin Mary was protected. Don Stephen spent 33 years as a pastor in Hrasna. He has done a lot for the whole region in both spiritual and cultural terms. As a special admirer of the Blessed Virgin Mary, he decided to build a sanctuary in her honor on the hill Gradina above the parish church.
In 1975, he started building a sanctuary, with the help of believers and good people.The sculptor had to make the statue of Mary the queen of peace with one hand lowered and the other raised to the sky. Mary as a bridge between heaven and earth!
