“Selasar Sunaryo”, selasar which in English means open veranda is an exhibition hall. This place belongs to one of Indonesia’s great artists. Sunaryo is a painter and sculptor. We stopped for a few hours in this place to relax and enjoy coffee with some relatives who live in Bandung.
The place located in Dago Pakar area – Bandung is hilly. From the parking lot, to enter the exhibition hall, visitors have to descend the stairs to the lobby which is also a cafe. At the side of the staircase, there is a garden decoration which is two square pillars with opposite water bursts from several points. Unique!
The atmosphere inside the cafe.
On the right side of the cafe, there is a work of Sunaryo sculpture that was inlaid into the wall.
A bit detail from bottom part
In front of the bottom of the cafe, there is an amphitheater for various art shows.
Here is one of the works of Sunaryo sculpture that is displayed in the corridor outside the cafe on way to the top exhibition space of many exhibition halls.
There are many gardens with various works of art, and all were beautiful!
Awesome garden…
