Hotel Sunwing Resort & Spa Bangtao Beach 4* review

Even if it is rated only 4*, the hotel is great! We came here by the advice of locals to explore Bang Tao beach.

Territory. Small, compact, but very green, just immersed in greenery, especially in comparison with the neighboring hotel. There are several pools of different depths (3 for children and 3 for adults).

There are a mini-club and a playground with a sandbox and all kinds of climbing for children. There are freely available games with sand accessories (shovels, buckets, forms, cars); there are even air mattresses and swimming boards. All this can be freely taken with you to the beach (you can keep it for the duration of your holiday), and then return it to its place. It is very convenient, there is no need to carry everything with you from home or to purchase locally.

Hotel rooms are very spacious. We traveled only with husband, so our room looked very spacious. Bathrobes and slippers are provided for hotel guests. The rooms have umbrellas in case of tropical rain.

Beach. Bang Tao Beach is one of the longest and most beautiful beaches in Phuket. I already wrote a review of Bang Tao beach, you can read it.

Nutrition. The food in the hotel is excellent, everything is delicious, for children there is a children’s buffet. The main restaurant and restaurant Fino are located on the seafront, which is very romantic and beautiful. It was nice to have breakfast and dinner there. Most often we had dinner at the main restaurant, Fino is a little expensive.

I recommend trying pineapple with rice and seafood. Deliciously extraordinary. And in the street cafes, dinner was no cheaper for us, so we gave up all attempts to find something better and spent the evening in the main restaurant. Several times we went to the shopping street, which is behind the neighboring hotel.

For kids. The hotel has special rooms for holidaymakers with children, called happy baby (they are provided with a changing table, a feeding table, a bath for bathing and a potty). Happy baby rooms are on the ground floor and they have some kind of small green fenced lawn just in front of the entrance.

There are also Royal rooms with private access to the general pool. There is a children’s animation (and adult, by the way, too), but in Swedish, the hotel is “sharpened” for the Swedes. But that nohow prevented us from enjoying the evening program.

The disadvantages include the location of the hotel (and for some, it may be a plus). The hotel is located a little away from the busy shopping street. It can be reached from the beach, then through the neighboring hotel. The Lotus store can be reached on foot (but I do not advise, it is far away and in the evening, it does not comfortable to walk by unlit road) or take a tuk-tuk for 100 baht.
