Yellow is one of my favorite colors, to me, it’s the color of sunshine, hope, and happiness, but it also has other conflicting associations.
On the one hand yellow stands for happiness, freshness, clarity, positivity, clarity, optimism, energy, remembrance, enlightenment, honor, intellect, joy and loyalty, yet on the other hand, it also represents deceit and cowardice.
Research is showing that the meaning of the color yellow can be cheerfulness, warmth, increased muscle energy, increased mental activity. Yellow helps to activate memory, enhance vision, encourage communication, stimulate the nervous system and build confidence.
Bright yellow is a great attention-getting color, and when used with black, it produces one of the easiest colors for reading and seeing from long distances. This is exactly why taxi cabs, traffic signs, and school buses are painted yellow and black.
Yellow is an unstable and spontaneous color and is frequently associated with food and is excessively used in children’s products and advertisements directed at children. Men tend to perceived yellow as a childish color, yellow is not a color that should be used when marketing products to prestigious men.
When overused, yellow can have a disturbing psychological effect. It is a proven fact that babies tend to cry more in rooms painted yellow. Used in excess, yellow causes loss of focus and makes it hard for task completion. Too much yellow tends to make people become critical and demanding. Too little yellow, on the other hand, causes feelings of fear, insecurity, isolation and low self-esteem. A lack of yellow can incite cunning, possessiveness, or defensiveness.
Yellow gemstones are supposed to aid in decision-making, clarity, boost concentration, increase energy, and offers relief from nervousness, panic, burnout, and exhaustion.
