This White Eye bird lives in New Zealand but Australia also has the same bird. So I think it’s possible that some of these birds flew over the Tasman Sea between Australia and New Zealand helped by the equinox winds of Southern seasons. Some Australian butterflies arrive in New Zealand the same way.
For us to travel to Australia, is 4 days by boat from Auckland to Sydney, but in a plane 2 hours from Auckland to Sydney. 3 Hours from Auckland to Melbourne. It’s a strange thing. You can leave Auckland at lunchtime 12 O”Clock and arrive in Australia at the same time in Sydney. New Zealand is 2 hours ahead of Sydney.
This little bird sits in the tree for just long enough for me to take 2 photos.
This little bird is very tiny and small. It likes fruit, picks at any fat, they like lard in winter. It eats nectar of any flower and loves sugar water. They also pick at seeds.
