Out on Lake Hakanoa, 2 Canadian geese fly around the lake.
Lake Hakanoa is in Huntly in the Waikato region. Pronounciation is “Hack can know a.”
This place has Canadian Geese and Black Swans, Pied Shags, Grey Herons, sparrows, and Black swans and ducks
Thanks so much Tasartcraft, glad you like it.
Canadian geese are beautiful creatures!
Thanks so much Lapka, glad you like them
Very nice picture dear Pamela… how did Canadian geese come to New Zealand?
I don’t know how they got here Lado, would not be surprised they were imported
They probably were really imported … I do not think they could fly that distance
You always seem to be able to catch birds in flight, amazing!
Thanks so much Doc, you need to be quick to catch birds in flight and be totally focused on that flight path
yes, I am usually left holding my phone or camera, ready to take the picture after they have landed!
Often happens to me as well, birds are really quick
I do, however, have a wonderful collection of where birds once were!
The Canadian geese in this image is great.
Thanks so much Deepizzaguy, glad you like it
You are very welcome Pamela.
Beautiful picture. The geese had to fly a very long way
Thanks Vidocka, this day the Geese didn’t fly far. How the Canadian geese came to New Zealand I don’t know.
We watch the geese get ready for migration. It’s loud, fun and interesting.
it must be really interesting, I would like to know where they go
All I can say is WOW. How can Canadian geese be in New Zealand. Being Canadian born and raised and still living in Canada I am always amazed at how other countries far from Canada and the US have inherited or received the beautiful Canadian geese. Gorveous picture of our lovely bird…
Don’t know how the Canadian Geese got here but in Lake Hakanoa it is the first place I ever saw one and they are beautiful
That’s a lovely photo, Pamela. Those Canadian Geese look beautiful.
Thanks Coffee Queen glad you like them
Another treat. I am not around water so I really enjoy these photos Pam.
Thanks so much Carol, will need to show off some more water shots
