Anyone who has been following the pictures I’ve shown of Apgar Mountain in Glacier National Park, Montana, has probably figured out by now that the view from the mountain is my favorite in the state. Don’t get me wrong; there are many beautiful views in Montana and a lot of them are totally breathtaking. This one is just my favorite.
The view overlooks Lake McDonald, which is beautiful in its own right, but the view is about 2,000 feet above the lake. The Rocky Mountains in the distance gives a scope and an idea of why one of the nicknames of Montana is “Big Sky Country”.
What makes an even greater and more dramatic impact is when we look at the same view only about a month apart, from exactly the same location.
