Don’t get me wrong. I love to swim, but not on a 60 degree day even though this is sunny Southern California.
This is what we did on Tuesday. Took the dogs to a creek we have never been to before. I love exploring new areas.
This is about a mile from the coast and the Pacific blue! We found the prettiest little swimming hole on this seasonal creek and the dogs simply loved it.
#1 The cover.
#2 The water was like ice!
It was so cold. The black dog (Luna) loves to swim, but it was a bit too cold for her. She would bounce in, swim around Meika, and get back out as fast as she could.
Meika loves the cold. That wolf heritage leaking out. Her fur acts like an insulator, keeps her warm and dry in the winter, and cool in the summer. Luna is not that lucky. With that short sleek coat she feels the cold, and starts to shiver. Luckily the sun was out.
#3 I can almost touch bottom here!
#4 I made it to the shore!
#5 My mom’s dog, Penny.
#6 The houses sort of ruin this, but I left them in.
#7 That winter coat!
#8 She reminds me of an Otter when she swims.
#9 Three amigos…
#10 All I have to say is, “Let’s GO!”
They come, but look at those faces. They remind me of the kids when I would say it was time to leave the beach. If they could frown...
They fell asleep in the car almost as soon as we got in. I bet they'll be dreaming of swimming! I hope you enjoyed this little natural pool as half as much as they did.
Have a great day!
