Sunrise over Norfolk

This photograph I took on New Years Day when I was walking the dog.  I was staying with my sister is a village called Scratby, which is on the coast in the county of Norfolk, England.  I had woken up early and had decided to take my dog, Ollie for a walk.  It was about 8:15am and there is quite a trek down to the beach itself as there are rocks and cliffs alongside the road.  You have to walk down a steep slope and a few steps to get to the beach itself.  And I took this photo with my mobile phone before making the trek down to the beach.

I honestly couldn’t believe my luck.  Although it was a cold and chilly day, the sun was rising and it was such a beautiful view.  And there was a small breeze too, which was lovely.  In the far distance in the sea are the wind farms which generate electricity.  And you can see the birds flying in the sky.  I could see just 2 other people on the beach with their dogs.  As I walked the dog the sun was rising, so I am glad I got this photo when I did.  How stunning!  It made me thing how good our God is.  It also made me think.  Although we start a new year, time really doesn’t change anything, does it?  The sun will still rise and will go down at night.  I was so lucky to be able to catch such a beautiful sunrise.  I hope you enjoy it too!
