I took a few photos this morning of butterflies and other insects that had rested on various flowers and leaves along the way. The walk was in Bagworth Woods – part of the new National Forest. I’m not sure what all of these are – any suggestions are welcome!
How beautiful, never seen one before in my garden.
They are quite common in this part of the world.
I have not seen this kind of beautiful. It looks like having two eyes on the wings. 🙂
They supposedly evolved this way to frighten off predators.
