I saw this beautiful tree on a visit to the Queen Elizabeth park in Vancouver, BC. This tree is called Acer Palmatum or Crimson Queen Laceleaf Japanese Maple. The Crimson Queen is a small sized red weeping Japanese maple. From Spring through summer this small tree or shrub has gorgeous deep crimson-purple red foliage and in fall it becomes a bright crimson-purple red. So no matter what time of the year your see the Crimson Queen, her color is dazzling. Another attractive feature of this plant is its fern like palmate leaves and weeping branches.
Thank you. It’s always great to see beautiful trees.
