This is taken at the Auckland Zoo of our local Giraffes
I have a special reason why I love Giraffes. When I was 6 years old I was walking around in Auckland Zoo when the local Giraffe lived in a cage that resembled a biscuit barrel.
I walked past eating an apple when suddenly an almighty ,”Crunch!” the Giraffe leaned over and took my apple, it seemed to smile at me while eating it. I loved the Giraffe on sight and did not know whether I could pat it or not, so I didn’t .
Im glad they live in a more open space with more room to move around in. However, I am not sorry that Giraffe got my apple, I was happy to see a Giraffe happy. Plus the Giraffes are not alone anymore, they are a family now and have each other company.
Giraffes are such pretty animals.
