Tennessee firefighter cuddling a child goes viral

If there is one rule for anyone who is the profession of being a firefighter, it is to be ready to be called into service at any moment.

Chattanooga (Tennessee) firefighter Captain Chris Blazek and his engine crew were called into service on Saturday when a mother of three children was involved in an auto accident on State Route 58.

The lady driver of the auto that was involved in the car accident is expecting another bundle of joy to join her three children who were with her inside the auto.

When Chris and his crew arrived on the scene of the accident, two of the three children were quiet while their mother was having back pains as well as stomach.

The youngest child who is four months of age, was crying a lot due to the stress of being in an auto accident, Chris decided to lead by example to his subordinates by taking of the situation by cuddling the four month child in his arms to assure her “Everything is going to be all right.”

The four month old child then stopped crying thanks to the loving actions of the captain. The mom was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. The children were then picked up by other family members.

The image that was taken by an eyewitness went viral on social media. Chris wrote on his Facebook page that saving lives and assisting people in need is the reason he joined the fire department.

Chris is what we would call an unsung hero who was just his duty.
