“Many people lose the small joys in the hope for the big happiness.” ― Pearl S. Buck
I think having peace of mind is a great blessing because our lives nowadays are full of stress, worries and competitions whether we are at home, in office with colleagues or even with friends at an informal dinner.
Unconsciously, we compare our material belongings with others, our wealth, our beauty/ looks and our weight, our car, our standard of living, social status, children and everything that we can compare.
I guess this is human nature but all this can give rise to negative emotions like anger, envy, jealousy, discontentment and even sorrow.
Personally I believe in being positive, in thanking God for each and every blessing that He has bestowed upon me and also firmly believing that if I lack some things in life, there is bound to be some good reason for it.
This keeps me happy and content and as I said, having peace of mind is truly a great blessing. Do not think about what others have because you do not know what problems they also have in their lives.
Try to be happy, be grateful for all you have, put a limit on your desires and help someone in need even if it is a a small thing and you will find peace and contentment!
