“Mama wanna go for a ride?” was the first thing that was always said when I walked into work. “Sure” I would say “but first you need a shave before we go out.” Before motherhood came into my life I was working in human services. To me it was rewarding career often fun, with a sense of making a difference in peoples’ lives. Sure some days were hectic but the smiles we got were worth it.

I have done this kind of work too. The older people are so kind and they need to be with people, to know they are still loved and they matter to someone.
