Cool Ideas About Everything

I always run across cool ideas in my travels in life and on the internet, so I have taken to writing them down. Someday maybe I will write a book. Till then, I will share them here. If you have a favorite idea or life hack, leave them in the comments for everyone to enjoy!

10 Cool Ideas About Everything:

1.  A great way to organize and display your jewelry is to buy a bulletin board or cork board to hang on the wall of your bedroom. Buy some colored push pins and use them to tack your necklaces, bracelets and earrings up on the board. It keeps your jewelry tangle free and also displays all so you can wear it all.

2.  To keep post earrings together, stick the posts through the holes in a button and put on the back.

3.  Glue magnetic strips to the back of a small picture frame to display a favorite picture on your refrigerator door.

4.  Glue clothes pins to the inside of your cabinet doors to hold…..whatever!

5.  Keep your sheets together by putting all the pieces to a set in the pillowcase. Makes them easier to store too.

6.  Cut a duotang in half and glue magnets to the back. Stick to the side of your refrigerator to keep takeout menus in.

7.  Never store grapes in a sealed bag. Grapes stay fresher longer with good air circulation. Rinse and store in a colander.

8.  To get onion or garlic smell off your hands, pour mouthwash on your hands and scrub.

9.  The easiest way to shuck corn is to cut off both ends and roll the ear on your counter. The husk will come right off.

10. A great way to hide your PIN numbers for bank accounts and such are INSIDE a phone number with what it is for as the name. Like, if you want to hide a PIN from Chase Bank, put in your phone book: Chase Smith – 555-PIN#  No one will know what you are hiding.

I love it when I find things that make my life easier, especially when they are easy and inexpensive to do.  If you have a favorite life hack, share it below!

  1. I’m with Rex on jewelry. I hardly ever wear it anymore, so if I stored it like that it would just collect dust. I like the sheet idea, but my problem is getting the fitted sheets folded neatly in the first place.

  2. I don’t wear jewelry so that’s out, but you have some GOOD ideas on how to keep them
& on the rest of the things you put on here good ideas that someone can use, thumbs up.
