I won’t take any credit from this carved watermelon. One of my students did this. She offered this to her teachers, during the Wai Kru Wan celebration. Wai Kru Wan is like the Thailand’s version of Teacher’s Day.
Anyway, food carving is also one of Thai’s skills in food preparation.
Do know how to carve food?
so true this she’s very talented.
Thanks, next time if I have the luxury of time I will visit yours also. I am just clearing my notifications first.
not a problem. thanks again.
Great job … your student is very talented
Oh yeah, you know they just need to be exposed I mean they need to see a lot of things around them and for sure they can do the same.
Your student is very skilled!
Hey… apparently, you have joined the photo 365 challenge too… That’s fun, Mavic.
Yes, but I can’t cope I don’t have time to write really. I need a lot of time and concentration before I finish one article here. LOL
Thanks I think it’s fun.
This is a short article, does it take much time to write it?
hahaha.. yes for you. not for me.
Why so? Don’t you talk about a lot of things every day, so, just move the conversation from oral to finger… hehehe…
OMG! What a great job! Considering the fact that it´s your student in question, he/she must be very young! Excellent!
Yup she is just around 15 years old. Already skillful at her age.
What to say – a real artwork
Yes, and she’s only 15 years old and no formal training.
Can you speak Thai? In fairness, Thailand is a great country.
that is pretty damn impressive
Yes, she can carve even tomatoes.
I’ve seen tomato roses before, but never anything like that watermelon
Ahhh this is a different one and she used different set of carving knives as well. really fascinating to watch while she was doing this.
She be a deft hand with a blade, yar!
Great photo. The challenge requires the use of your own original photo.
But glad to see you posting!
This is my own photo, no worries. I just did not carved the watermelon that’s not what I am taking the credit of.
Thanks for sharing a good post.
Thanks for looking at my post. Challenge number 1, I am on my second day!
I love all things Thailand (have been many times, lived in Thailand many years ago with my parents as well). Awesome – what a great picture!
Can you speak Thai, Doc? How long did you live here?
I am going to butcher the phrase but “put pasa thai, my dai”, it has been many years. I have been back but not as much as my parents. My father loved Thailand.
ahh “Pud prasaa thai, mai dai”. ok “kaw chai, kah” anyway, i have been here for years but have never mastered their language yet.
